The Economist on Sex in Turkey

January 28, 2013

The latest issue of The Economist has a short article about freewheeling (relatively) sex talk on Turkish TV.

“Sex is a part of worship and, indeed, is the same as namaz (Muslim prayers),” Ali Riza Demircan told Haberturk TV. A conservative backlash then forced him to clarify that sex and prayers were not of equal virtue.

Can’t argue with that. One is clearly of far greater virtue.
