Britney Spears - Adnan Ghalib Sex Tape

Who? Pop star; paparazzo.

Real? Probably a false rumor. No such tape ever circulated.

Britney Spears is one of the most-harrassed-by-paparazzi celebrities in the world, so it surprised a lot of people when she became romantically involved with photographer Adnan Ghalib. They were together from mid 2007 to February 2008.

Soon after the breakup, rumors swirled that Ghalib might be shopping a sex tape. On September 29, 2008, several news sources quoted Adnan Ghalib announcing that he had a two-hour sex tape starring him and Britney, and that he would sell it for the right (presumably very high) price. One anonymous source described the rumored footage:

Word is that the video starts with Britney undressing. She was wearing some cheap clothes that she bought down there in Rosarito. The sex wasn't particularly kinky but Britney wears a pink wig throughout. At one point in the tape Adnan asks the singer to remove the pink bob but she refused. Adnan tells her to take it off at one point and she says coyly, "Take what off? There's nothing left to take off."

Britney Spears and her handlers denied that any such sex tape existed. Two days later, Adnan Ghalib denied ever saying anything about a Britney sex tape and threatened legal action against the British tabloid that first claimed he did. "There is no sex tape and I’ve never claimed there is one."

So there are two possibilities. (1) Adnan had a Britney sex tape, Britney's camp paid him off to destroy the tape and deny everything. Or (2), a tabloid made something up, and a zillion other tabloids and blogs repeated the made-up story. Both are plausible, but my hunch is (2).
